Although I have been in Colorado for nearly ten hears, I somehow had not yet made my way to souther Utah. Thankfully, I finally made the short track from the Vail Valley over to southern Utah to explore the several national parks in the area.
I found the layering so intriguing and exciting to realize that we could literally see the history of this place, piece by piece. It was somewhat reminiscent of being in Rome and seeing the layers upon layers of buildings, regimes, life and civilizations that continued to compile one atop of the other.
